Just spent the last 5 days in Hawaii watching boys basketball, girls softball, and baseball. The competition there has gotten so much more competitive since I play both football and baseball.. I had the opportunity to speak to a number of parents and student athletes about their future in their respective sports... it was wonderful to hear how many of them have college in mind. I introduced them to the concept of "Make the play of your life" and I was welcomed with open arms and alot of aloha!I am currently working with some of them in the decision making process of what to do next when it comes to going to college. Lots of confusion and many questions and voids to fill for both the parent and the student athlete. If any of you have questions please don't hesitate to call or attend one of the local semnars in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, San Bernadino or San Diego counties. Contact information is on my website @ www.maketheplayofyourlife.com

Steve- what are some of the most frequesnt questions that parents have for you? Do you feel that a lot of parents get caught off guard when all of a sudden their son or daughter start to receive letters and calls from colleges?
I know I would be lost if it happened to me and from our conversation the other day you said a lot of times high school coaches and even the high school AD's don't have all the answers.

Steve- how do you decide your schdule? Are you traveling the country or do you focus on certain regions? Since this is a baseball site, what do you think are the top 5 areas of the country that produce the most "scholarship potential" ball players?

The reason I started doing seminars all over the west coast was the very thing you asked me. Yes parents are constantly asking me "What are we suppose to do next? Who do I contact? What do I ask? Where do I get answers/ and they go on and on...Parents and student athletes have the same confused look about them...

Had a great weekend met with parents at the Esperanza/ Servite game. Lots of interest from parents about my seminars... working on putting one together with their booster club so we can talk to all levels of players... seems I drew alot of interest when I mentioned I will show them how their student athletes are being sought after by the division ll,lll and NAIA schools..had a comment from one parent when she asked what I charged... she said for 99.00 all the info. you provide seems like peanuts when she thinks about what she has to pay for private lessons, club ball, and for high school. I laughed when she said and all you are supplying is my sons entire future for 99.00. then I said that also included my book of which is used as a study guide and reminder... she actually hit me and said are you crazy!!

Hi Pat love to sign you up for the program... my experience has been if I can get at least a group of 5 parents and their student athletes in a seminar it benefits all..lots of questions come up that lifts eyebrows and creates an excited group of people.. if you can do that by talking to other teammates and parents we can set up at a convenient spot for all. If that isn't possible I'd be happy to do a one on one. Thanks for the insightful information and opening up a site that all can benefit from.

Steve- I can a group of 5 parenst set up for you, no problem! I leave Sunday morning for Miami and get back Thursday afternoon. Let me talk to some people the next few days and see what I can put together. For $99 a piece this is a great deal and will save all of us a lot of headaches! I will be in touch. In the mean time keep writing about your journeys in the forum, there are a lot of people reading them!

Thats great Pat.. the more we have the more powerful the seminar.. I'll look forward to speaking with you next week.. The price of the seminat is 99.00 but like I said before that includes a book.. I would prefer the parents pick one up off of my website Maketheplayofyourlife.com they can also sign up for the seminar on that same site. if there are any questions I will personally take care of them.. my # is 714-264-0678 if you have a place in mind for the seminar that would be great if not I'll set one up in the area. Thank you again.

Had a great seminar last night... It's special to see the contact between parents and their student athlete when hope is put in front of them and they both get it! I had great input from students on possibilities that turned in their eyes into probabilities. Overall everyone walked away excited and with goals to be fullfilled.

Steve- when I get a group together it will most likely be parents of freshman ball players. Do you suggest both the parents and the players attend?
